'Mentoring'... Isn't that pretty much the essence of what Jesus commanded us to do?  That is, go into all the world and make disciples, teaching them to obey everything he commanded us?

• 1000Mentors.com -- a new initiative connecting & recruiting Christians to help mentor inner-city youth... school by school.

• be thinking about ex-offenders... and their need for prayer/care mentoring TEAMS per offender (talk with Dan Gushee, at the cafe).

• DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative (see their Facebook group, for now) is considering a monthly 'Learning Center' at the cafe, as something of a clearing-house for great ideas and actions focused on our youth.
